Utah Business Owners Expand Business at the Holiday Barter Expo
>> Wednesday, November 28, 2012
Hundreds of local businesses and entrepreneurs will meet to trade gift certificates, products and services with other area business owners at the 10th annual ITEX Barter Expo located at the Weber County Fairgrounds.
"Many business owners use barter to help their business grow," Tinamarie Fowler, ITEX Broker and Local Franchise Owner said. "But at the Holiday Barter Expo, the focus is on buying gifts for family and friends. The really great thing is that business owners can be generous in their gift giving, even buying presents they normally couldn't afford because it's all done by selling extra goods or services on trade."
Almost any product or service can be traded. Besides Christmas gifts and gift certificates for restaurants, spas, auto detail, movies, etc., tons of things are available such as windshield replacement, auto mechanic services, boulders, gravel, construction, printing, advertising, travel and so much more!
The 10th Annual Holiday Barter Expo is sponsored by ITEX in Northern Utah. The show helps ITEX members find and trade items they can give to friends, family, employees and business associates without having to spend cash.
About Barter Exchanges
Barter has recently gained popularity as more business owners look for creative ways to increase profits and cut expenses. Joining a barter exchange helps businesses to easily find new business partners to trade with.
ITEX is the largest business-to-business barter company in North America with a local office in Ogden.
Business owners can join ITEX to turn unused products or services into something they are currently paying cash for, and often at very little cost to them. Some do it to keep business expenses low by trading for things like printing, advertising, supplies and even professional services like accounting, marketing and legal costs. Many business owners also save on household expenses by trading for car maintenance, landscaping, consumer goods and other household needs. Others barter to buy things they normally wouldn't buy for themselves, such as vacation packages and other luxury items.
"Our members use ITEX to promote their business to a whole new customer base. Whether they do it for personal or business items and services, it's a great thing to help each other do more business," Tinamarie Fowler, Northern Utah ITEX Broker said.
